Microsoft delivered some huge Xbox Series X news this week with the announcement of full Xbox backwards compatibility and a little something called Xbox Smart Delivery.
Xbox Series X Backwards Compatibility
Xbox Series X being backwards compatible means you can play a large amount of your retro Xbox library on the Xbox Series X. That includes Xbox One, Xbox 360 and original Xbox backwards compatibility.
Not every single game will be backwards compatible however the list of backwards compatible Xbox games continues to grow. This means that over time you will be able to play more and more Xbox, Xbox 360 and Xbox One games on your Xbox Series X
Xbox Series X Smart Delivery
However the most interesting announcement was Xbox Series X Smart Delivery. But what is Xbox Series X Smart Delivery?
Essentially Xbox Smart Delivery enables you to play compatible games on your Xbox One and Xbox Series X. But it's more than just backwards compatibility. For example you can buy the Xbox One version of HALO Infinite, however when you put that same disk in your Xbox Series X the system will recognise this and download the Series X version. Meaning you don't have to buy two versions of the same game. The same goes the other way round. Kind of making the Xbox One forwards compatible.
Let's discuss it in more detail in...
