Swordquest is a game steeped in about as much mystery and lore in the real world as any great video game story. The tale of Swordquest is one which sounds like it was made for a movie. A quest which not only provided in game reward. A plan by Atari to provide real world treasures to the best players.

Swordquest was a series of games for the Atari 2600. Consisting of Swordquest Earthworld, Swordquest Waterworld, Swordquest Fireworld and the unfinished Swordquest Airworld. However the special thing about the Swordquest Atari 2600 games was the Swordquest contest.
Swordquest Prizes
The Swordquest contest was designed to award a winner for each of the four games. The Swordquest prizes would consist of. The Talisman of Penultimate Truth, Chalice of Light, Crown of Life and Philosophers stone.
With the four winners of Earthworld, Waterworld, Fireworld and Airworld competing for the ultimate Swordquest prize. The Sword of Ulitmate Sorcery with a silver blade and an 18-carat gold handle covered with diamonds, emeralds, sapphires and rubies, that was valued at US$50,000.
